About You

Our Account Directors are responsible for developing strategy of integrated marketing initiatives across all digital channels to meet client marketing and business objectives. They need to have the ability to understand key consumer insights and drive the most appropriate marketing solutions for our clients.

What You’re Here To Do

  • Lead the client team towards delivering compelling and inspiring marketing solutions across customers and channels to meet and exceed client objectives and drive profitable customer relationships.
  • Develop client relationship by acting as a strategic partner.
  • Cross and up-sell our capabilities whilst looking for opportunity for new services and growth.
  • Challenge and inspire the client, position Harvest as a partner by acting as strategic guide and facilitator
  • Responsible for ensuring that a strategic programme is made; finalize programme activity and budget with client.
  • Understand fully the client’s business including economic levers, industry, organisation and customer/audience needs.
  • Direct the account team activity to ensure appropriate activity is developed and implemented according to Harvest quality standards and achieves its objectives.
  • Ensure staff ownership and responsibility for projects for all members of the team.
  • Be the brand guardian of the client within the agency. Fully understand the creative work, critique and challenge the product.
  • Maintain a strategic overview of account, and proactively advise client on new issues
  • Run and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client.
  • Keep abreast of outside issues and events and regularly review impact on programme and client objectives
  • Instigate brainstorms to develop the strategic, creative direction of accounts.
  • Have financial ownership of your ‘business’; in-depth understanding of financial status of account at all times.
  • Provide regular monthly updates to the forecast for your accounts, include justifications for decisions.
  • Review of actual vs. targets with the revenue team.
  • Be responsible for account/project profitability and maintaining agreed fee income.
  • Ensure the correct utilisation of the levels within the team
  • Take responsibility for negotiating and establishing financial arrangements with client.
  • Obtain client approval for the SOW, estimate and schedule of all projects
  • Ensure resourcing within the account is appropriate at all times. Ensure that you have the ‘best’ team for the job.
  • Work with finance to keep aged debt low and invoicing up to date
  • Support new business development
  • A good working knowledge of different digital marketing channels and what they offer the client and customer, including; Search Marketing, Programmatic Display, Analytics, SEO, etc.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel marketing
  • Strong understanding of project management
  • Demonstrated experience of developing acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Ability to present and sell in creative services, and be comfortable with the different mix of deliverables e.g. email, banner creation, website design & build etc.
  • Ability to cross and up-sell, credibility to discuss opportunities across Harvest’s different disciplines
  • Extensive experience of developing and executing online marketing campaigns, both acquisition and retention
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM disciplines
  • Must be able to demonstrate strategic marketing experience as well as the ability to adopt a hands-on approach when necessary
  • Experience managing and growing strong client relationships
  • Possession of excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Digital agency experience is highly desirable
  • Exposure to ATL marketing is desirable.
  • Experience of new business development is desirable.

Undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by a member of the Board.

What You Need To Know
