In order to help raise money for Cancer Research UK, we’ll be walking 10,000 steps a day each day in June.

In order to help fund the ground-breaking research that Cancer Research UK do, a bunch of Harvesters have signed up to Walk All Over Cancer in aid of Cancer Research UK.

This means that for every day in June, certain Harvesters will be walking ten thousand steps. That works out to be roughly 5 miles per day.

By the end of June, our 5 miles per day will have equated to 150 miles – which is about the distance from London to Manchester.

Stats on news cases and deaths from Cancer

Cancer Research UK is entirely funded by donations, so fundraising efforts like this provide the lifeblood for this amazing charity to do innovative and ground-breaking work into fighting cancer in every form.

There are over 100 different types of cancer, and roughly 980 cases of cancer are diagnosed every day in the UK. Many of us have been affected by cancer personally, so taking part in this walk is a way that we can hopefully contribute towards research that could prevent this disease in the future.

Each day, there are 160 extra cancer survivors in the UK. Research funded by charities is making a difference and we can help put an end to cancer.

At Harvest, we take our CSR programmes very seriously – so we’ll be looking at raise around £5,000 in total through our efforts and we’d really love it if you could support us by donating.

Each team member is responsible for fundraising, and with the fiercely competitive nature of some of the participants, we are confident that we will smash both our personal challenges of 10,000 steps per day as well as the overall £5,000 fundraising target. We will be pooling all of our donations and donate the combined money raised as a company.

To donate, simply visit the Team Harvest page and donate to one of the team members that referred you.
