Car retailer revs up search marketing

Norwich Union Cars has selected online marketing agency Harvest Digital to manage its PPC search engine marketing, in a bid to drive more targeted traffic to its site.

Harvest Digital will manage search activity of the car buying service on Overture, Google and espotting. The agency also plans to extend the campaign to shopping comparison engines and other online marketing activity.

Mike Teasdale, creative director at Harvest Digital said: “Because Norwich Union Cars handles the entire purchasing process from enquiry through to delivery, we are able to optimise our spend to cost per sale in a way that many automotive brands would struggle to do.”

The Norwich Union Cars site offers new cars available 24 hours per day so customers can search and buy from the comfort of their home. Users can store up to six favoured cars in the “my driveway” section of the site, then buy the car, finance and insurance all from Norwich Union.
