Media Account Manager
The job
Internal Agency Interface
• Building strong working relationships and clear understanding of roles and responsibilities with all departments within the agency
• Managing client projects within the agency and, where appropriate, ensuring all departments work towards the same goal
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and on budget
• Write cohesive and single-minded project briefs
• Develop an appreciation for and understanding of effective Media planning
• Contributing towards the writing of Media plans and presentations
• Manage and motivate junior staff and third party suppliers/contacts
• Develop an understanding of the Agency, it’s differentiators, structure
and corporate positioning
External Client Interface
• Establish a full understanding of the Client’s company-structure and personalities
• Exhibit clear understanding of the Market and be able to apply this in context
• Become a trusted first point of call for all day to day client enquiries
• Develop a strong relationship with individual clients at your requisite level
• Constantly update the client on activity, providing regular status reports
• Take concise and accurate contact reports of meetings where actions are agreed
• Become a confident and effective presenter of ideas and plans
• Constantly assess any opportunities and threats to Clients business, and start to identify areas for growth
• Act as an ambassador for the Agency at all times
Administration
• Manage the maintenance of well ordered files, inc. job bags, status and contact reports, estimates, invoicing, case histories for client files and credentials presentation. Produce and present weekly client status reports
• Develop systems for regularly updating and managing client information
• Ensure everyone who needs to be within the Agency is kept updated on information
• Have faultless attention to detail in everything you do
You
• Excellent digital media experience either in a Digital Media Agency, or within the Digital Department of a Traditional Media Agency.
• Up to date with new opportunities and offerings within the digital media space.
• Ability to be able to discuss search and affiliate marketing with clients.
• Understanding of where digital sits within the broader media mix.
• Strong negotiator, to ensure we are trading at market leading pricing for our clients
• Working knowledge of industry planning and research tools, e.g.; comScore, TGI, Nielsen, etc...
• Knowledge of various adserving technologies; DFA, Atlas, Eyeblaster, Flashtalking, Mediaplex an advantage
• Intermediate-Advanced Microsoft excel and powerpoint skills
• Strong analytic abilities and attention to detail
• Team management and resourcing skills
• Strong presentation, training, organisation and communications skills
• A good team player, diplomat, professional and cool under pressure
